Qualifications

• Completed technical training, trade qualification, or significant on-the-job experience as a machine operator.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating high-precision machinery, such as CNC lathes, mills, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and techniques.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a production team in Tembisa, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines or other high-precision manufacturing equipment according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate part fabrication.
• Perform in-process quality checks and inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to achieve required specifications and quality standards.
