Job summary

Placements24 in Gauteng, South Africa, seeks a skilled CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment (milling/turning) to produce precise components. You will read blueprints, inspect parts, and ensure quality while following safety procedures in a busy Tembisa facility.

The role requires at least 4 years of hands-on CNC experience, familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens controls, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC certification preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC machines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with Fanuc or Siemens CNC control systems; knowledge of G-code/M-code is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD files.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Ensure finished parts meet quality standards and specifications.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision tools.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or production issues.
• Load and unload materials and finished products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams.
