Job summary

Select Motor Recruitment is seeking a results-driven Pre-Owned Sales professional in the South African commercial vehicle sector. You will drive and expand pre-owned sales through the dealer network, identify opportunities, and build lasting relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

The role demands a minimum of 3 years' sales experience in the commercial vehicle space, pre-owned product knowledge, and a motor industry background.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or technical degree in a motor-related field.
• Minimum 3 years' sales experience in a similar role within the Commercial Vehicle Industry, preferably with a competitor in SACU or the Southern Africa right-hand-drive region.
• Pre-Owned experience and knowledge of the pre-owned commercial vehicle market, including multi-brand product price points.
• Motor Industry experience Essential!

Responsibilities

• Drive and support Pre-Owned sales through the commercial partner and dealer network
• Assist with Pre-Owned sales volume setting and achievement
• Introduce new clients to the brand through used truck opportunities
• Maintain and grow relationships with customers, suppliers, dealers and internal stakeholders
• Conduct a minimum of 8 joint customer visits per month with completed visit reports
• Support used truck inventory management and aged inventory reduction
• Assist with trade-in, buyback and tradeback vehicle inspections and condition assessments
• Provide sales and technical support relating to pre-owned commercial vehicle solutions
• Act as liaison for information sharing and strategic implementation across the dealer network
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly reports for the relevant Manager
