Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician for Queenstown, focusing on power generation equipment. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of on-site systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability for clients.

You will be a key contact for on-site technical support, with a dynamic field-based experience in the Energy sector and access to ongoing training and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in power generation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Good communication and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on power generation units.
• Install and commission new power generation equipment per specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in the field.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections for longevity and performance.
• Prepare detailed service reports with recommendations.
• Adhere to safety protocols during site visits.
