Job summary

Trending Talent Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance professional for a poultry processing plant in Worcester, South Africa. The role focuses on monitoring product quality, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with customer specs and internal standards.

The ideal candidate has a PME/PMI poultry qualification, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work shift patterns including weekends. FMCG experience is advantageous, with emphasis on accuracy and high integrity.

Qualifications

• Preference for Poultry PME/PMI qualification.
• Experience in a poultry processing plant and FMCG experience is advantageous.
• High literacy and mathematical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality by observing online practices and complete check sheets.
• Conduct observations and tests to ensure specifications are met.
• Report deviations and advise corrective actions to Processing and Engineering.
• Follow up on corrective actions and escalate if not actioned.
• Ensure ISO, GMP and HACCP practices are followed and advise on corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to customer specifications, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
• Report deviations and advise on corrective actions when required.
