Job summary

Trending Talent Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance professional for a poultry processing plant in Worcester, South Africa. The role focuses on monitoring product quality, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with customer specs and internal standards.

The ideal candidate has a PME/PMI poultry qualification, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work shift patterns including weekends. FMCG experience is advantageous, with emphasis on accuracy and high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality by observing online practices and complete check sheets.
• Conduct observations and tests to ensure specifications are met.
• Report deviations and advise corrective actions to Processing and Engineering.
• Follow up on corrective actions and escalate if not actioned.
• Ensure ISO, GMP and HACCP practices are followed and advise on corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to customer specifications, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
• Report deviations and advise on corrective actions when required.

Job description

To ensure adherence to Rainbow's Total Integrated Management System and customer specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates with a Poultry Meat Examiner or Poultry Meat Inspector PME/PMI qualification.

Required Experience:

• Previous Quality Check or Quality Assurer experience in a poultry processing plant will be advantageous.
• Experience in a FMCG environment

Responsibilities:

• Monitor product quality by observation of online practices and completion of necessary check sheets.
• Conduct observations and tests on poultry products to ensure that specifications are met in terms of pick-ups, operator working instructions' parameters and machine setting parameters.
• Report deviations and advises of the necessary corrective actions to Processing and Engineering when required.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and escalates to higher authority if not actioned.
• Observes that employees on the line adhere to ISO, GMP and HACCP practices and advises on necessary corrective action required when contravened.
• Monitors and ensures adherence to contractual customer specifics, regulatory and internal requirements as per specifications
• Practice good housekeeping in their areas of work.
• Report deviations and advises of the necessary corrective actions when required.
