Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a Cashier for Morena Mall to handle Point of Sale transactions accurately and ensure customers are served efficiently. You will balance cash, process payments, and ensure goods are scanned and paid for before leaving the till.

Shift work including weekends and public holidays is required. The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 or 1 year of related experience, good English communication, basic math skills, and strong administrative abilities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash (including floats) with no shorts or overs.
• Capture the correct payment type on the POS terminal.
• Ensure goods are correctly identified and captured on the POS.
• Ensure you have sufficient change at all times.
• Ensure pickups are done accurately and within set parameters.
• Complete daily cash-ups and drop takings into the safe.
