Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in Bloemfontein is seeking a Cashier to accurately process POS transactions and ensure every item is paid for.

Requirements include Grade 12 or 1 year related experience, English and local language proficiency, basic arithmetic, strong admin skills, and willingness to work shifts including weekends and public holidays. You will deliver fast, friendly service, maintain cash accuracy, handle customer queries, and follow safety procedures in line with the CB Way.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year work related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the area.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash, floats and petty cash with no shortages or overages.
• Identify and capture goods on the Point of Sale terminal.
• Capture the correct payment type from customers on the POS.
• Maintain sufficient change at all times.
• Ensure daily takings are dropped into the drop safe/vault.
• Process transactions related to other stores' money and deliveries correctly.
