Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a Cashier for Morena Mall. The role focuses on accurate Point of Sale transactions, proper documentation, and ensuring that no goods are passed through POS without payment.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 or one year related experience, plus strong administration and basic mathematical skills. You will work shifts, weekends and public holidays, provide friendly service to customers, and maintain cash accuracy, daily takings, and stock integrity in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or at least 1 year related work experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
• Must have strong administration skills
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays
• Must be able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Balance cash, floats, and petty cash at end of shift
• Identify and capture goods correctly on the POS
• Capture the correct payment type received from Customers on the POS
• Ensure you have sufficient change at all times
• Ensure Pick-ups are done accurately and within the set parameters
• Ensure Cash-ups are done accurately at the end of your shift
• Ensure all daily takings have been dropped into the Drop Safe / vault
• Process transactions relating to other stores money, deliveries, and quotes
