Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a diligent Cashier to accurately handle POS transactions and related documentation, ensuring customers are served quickly and that every item is paid for at the point of sale. You will balance cash, manage change, capture payments on the Till, and ensure cashups are completed correctly at the end of each shift, while maintaining security and accuracy.

Requirements include Grade 12 or at least 1 year of work experience, strong administration skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or minimum of 1 year work related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash and ensure no shorts or overs.
• Capture payments on the Point of Sale terminal.
• Maintain sufficient change at all times.
• Ensure accurate cash-ups at end of shift.
• Process transactions related to other stores' money, deliveries and quotes.
• Sign, compile, and file cashier documentation.
• Offer fast, friendly service to customers at checkout.
• Adhere to OHSA safety requirements and Cashbuild policies.
