Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a Cashier to accurately handle POS transactions and ensure customer satisfaction at all times. You will ensure goods are paid for and correctly recorded at the till, with attention to accuracy and security of cash and documentation.

The role requires clear communication in English and the local language, basic math skills, strong administration, and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash, floats, and petty cash at all times (no shorts/overs).
• Ensure goods are correctly identified and captured on the POS terminal.
• Capture the correct payment type received from customers on the POS terminal.
• Maintain sufficient change at all times.
• Ensure daily takings are dropped into the Drop Safe/vault.
• Process transactions related to other stores’ money, deliveries, and quotes correctly.
