CA Financial Appointments in Cape Town is seeking a Portfolio Implementation Analyst to join a global investment team. You will translate investment decisions into implemented portfolios, working with portfolio managers and traders to execute views and manage risk across equities, bonds and derivatives.
The role suits a newly qualified CA(SA) or an experienced operations professional keen to move closer to the investment process, with strong analytical ability and stakeholder management.
Are you analytically sharp, commercially minded and looking for an opportunity that will bring you closer to the heart of the investment process?
We are recruiting for Portfolio Implementation Analysts for a leading global investment manager in Cape Town. These are exciting opportunities to join a highly regarded, global team operating at the intersection of investments, trading and operations.
This could be an excellent next move for a newly qualified CA(SA) looking to pivot out of audit/accounting, or an experienced analyst coming from investment operations, middle office, treasury, transitions, client onboarding or another relevant operational environment.
Working closely with portfolio managers, traders and teams across the wider business, you will play an important role in translating investment decisions into accurately implemented portfolios.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will need a relevant degree, strong analytical and problem-solving ability, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in investments and financial markets.
Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You should be able to absorb new information quickly, remain calm when things don't go according to plan, think on your feet and confidently manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
You could come from:
Direct portfolio implementation experience across equities, fixed income, money markets or derivatives would be advantageous, but it is not essential. The client's emphasis is on finding people with the right aptitude, attitude and ability to learn.
The team particularly values people who take ownership, are accountable for results, work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the business.
This is not a traditional accounting role, nor is it purely back-office operations. It offers the opportunity to work much closer to the investment process and build meaningful exposure to portfolio management, trading and global financial markets.
