Job summary

Redefine is seeking a dedicated Finance Professional to support the management of financial records and reporting for a portfolio of properties. You will ensure accurate trial balances, timely budgets and forecasts, and comprehensive management accounts with variance analysis.

Key responsibilities include accrual management, arrears review, and contributing to month-end activities while guiding reporting staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience
• B. Com Degree in finance (Essential)
• Honours Degree in Accounting (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse trial balances for properties and portfolios
• Review, analyse and facilitate budgets and forecasts for Income Statement and balance sheet
• Provide portfolio management accounts with variance commentary
• Accrue for expenditure and manage accruals at portfolio level
• Review arrears and provide bad debt provisions
• Assist management in tracking yield improvement on property/portfolio
• Assist with take-on of properties during acquisition/development phases
• Reconcile and post adjustment accounts on disposal of properties
• Provide regular reporting on portfolio financial performance
• Manage reporting staff and support month-end reviews
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and post monthly tenant, special journals and adhoc journals
