Job summary

Placements24 in Polokwane is seeking a proactive Social Inclusion Officer to design and implement strategies that promote social integration for marginalized groups. You will engage with community members, NGOs, and government agencies to identify barriers and drive practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Sociology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in community development, social work, or advocacy for marginalized groups.
• Demonstrated experience in program development and implementation related to social inclusion.
• Strong understanding of social justice principles and issues affecting marginalized communities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse community members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the Polokwane, Limpopo socio-economic context and available resources.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and report-writing skills.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Polokwane area.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement initiatives to increase social inclusion for vulnerable populations.
• Conduct needs assessments and research to identify barriers to social participation.
