Job summary

MRI Software is expanding its PMO Coordination function in Cape Town, supporting UK hours (10:00-18:30 SA time, until 19:30 DST). You will help govern projects, track progress and report on budgets and risks across the MRI 4D Framework.

The role involves audits, governance documentation, and coaching PMs to improve delivery and consistency. You’ll join a small, collaborative team with hybrid work (3 days from home) and opportunities to drive efficiencies, share best practices, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-years of experience in project management or in a Project Management Office within a software company.
• PRINCE 2, PMBOK, PMP or equivalent project management course.
• Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and action plans.
• Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
• Strong teamwork and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 360.
• Ability to analyse financial data, including project budgets, risks and issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal audits and project reviews with the PMs and Team Leaders to ensure adherence to MRI 4D Framework.
• Use MRI tools, systems and data to assess project compliance and report actions, plans and budgets.
• Prepare and present audit reports highlighting compliance issues, risks and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to PMs in implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Develop and enhance project governance documentation including policies, procedures, templates and guidelines.
• Oversee communication and implementation of governance across MRI projects.
• Drive efficiencies within PMO and project management teams and streamline processes.
• Create and maintain management reports to track project status and performance.
• Participate in PM focus groups and share governance insights.
• Assist PM Team Leaders and PMs in identifying and resolving project issues and bottlenecks.
• Coordinate Lessons Learnt activities.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on governance processes and best practices.
