Prudent HR Solutions is assisting a client in South Africa to recruit a Plumber for day-to-day maintenance across commercial and industrial properties. The role focuses on maintaining water supply, drainage and hot-water systems, with duties including fault-finding and repairs for tenants.

Applicants should have a Matric and an N1-N3 plumbing qualification, at least two years of plumbing experience, and strong fault-finding and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault-finding.

• Assist with tenant installations and minor plumbing projects.
• Inspect and maintain booster pumps, circulation pumps, float valves and water-storage systems.
• Record completed work, manage stock and coordinate with contractors where required.
• Follow safe working practices and applicable plumbing requirements.

Plumber

Our client is an established South African property company specialising in the development, leasing and management of commercial and industrial properties. They are seeking a Plumber to carry out day-to-day maintenance across their buildings and support tenants with plumbing-related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault-finding.


• Maintain and repair water supply, drainage, sanitary and hot-water systems.


• Detect and repair leaks, and respond to emergency plumbing issues.


• Assist with tenant installations and minor plumbing projects.


• Inspect and maintain booster pumps, circulation pumps, float valves and water-storage systems.


• Support water-saving initiatives and maintain plumbing asset registers.


• Record completed work, manage stock and coordinate with contractors where required.


• Follow safe working practices and applicable plumbing requirements.

Requirements

• Matric and an N1-N3 plumbing qualification.


• At least two years' experience as a plumber, with sound technical knowledge.


• Experience in leak detection, drainage maintenance and pipe-joining methods, including soldering, threading, solvent welding and compression fittings.


• Ability to read plumbing drawings and work with building services and infrastructure.


• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.


• Experience with preventative maintenance and basic building repairs.
