Job summary

SKG Properties in Cape Town is seeking a skilled plumber to maintain and service our commercial and industrial facilities.

You will perform preventative maintenance, urgent repairs, water systems, drainage, and support tenancy projects while ensuring safety and compliance. The role requires reading drawings, liaising with tenants and contractors, and contributing to water-saving initiatives.

A positive, customer-focused approach and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a plumber with strong technical knowledge.
• N1–N3 plumbing qualification is required.
• Ability to read plumbing drawings and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on plumbing systems.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding.
• Maintain water supply and distribution systems and drainage.
• Service sanitary and hot-water systems and complete minor repairs.
• Provide tenant and building support and respond to emergency plumbing requests.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage stock related to plumbing works.
• Keep detailed records and ensure compliance with safety practices.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• N1 - N3 Plumbing Qualification
• Min of 2 years as a plumber with good Technical knowledge
• Leak detection and repairs
• Drainage maintenance
• Soldering, threading, solvent welding, compression fittings and other pipe-joining
• Experience with booster pumps, circulation pumps, float valves and water-storage system
