Job summary

impact.com is looking for a mid-level infrastructure engineer to design, deploy, and operate platform-layer systems. You will implement infrastructure abstractions, manage Kubernetes clusters, and own pub/sub services, writing production Java code with security as a priority.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in Java, cloud deployments, Linux proficiency, and experience with Terraform or Argo CD. A Bachelor's in CS or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of software development experience with Java or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience deploying software to and operating in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with IaC concepts and GitOps tools such as Terraform, Argo CD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure abstractions that service teams use to express their requirements.
• Deploy and operate platform-layer infrastructure: VPCs, compute pools, storage, Kubernetes clusters.
• Own the operation and maintenance of pub/sub messaging systems used by service teams.
• Write production-quality Java code implementing infrastructure abstractions.
