A well-established company within the distillery sector is seeking a hands‑on, technically strong Plant Operator & Maintenance Technician to take full responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and performance of the production plant at their Edenvale facility.

This is a critical role requiring a qualified Fitter & Turner with proven experience, as strong mechanical expertise is essential to ensure optimal plant functionality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation and performance of the plant
• Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance on all machinery and equipment
• Ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical faults
• Maintain strict health & safety standards within the plant
• Work closely with production to ensure smooth and continuous operations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Fitter & Turner (essential)
• Proven experience in plant maintenance and operations
• Strong mechanical, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of plant performance
• Experience within the distillery, beverage, food processing, or similar industry will be advantageous
