Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Plant Operations Manager to lead its Polokwane manufacturing facility. This role drives efficiency, quality, safety and continuous improvement through strong leadership of production teams and robust process optimization.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management, 7+ years in plant operations, and proven MES/ERP proficiency to optimize performance and profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in plant operations management.
- Proven experience leading production teams and optimizing manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Manage and lead the production teams, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to track plant performance and drive improvements.
- Manage plant budgets and optimize resource allocation.
