Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Cape Town to oversee daily production, lead a team, and ensure quality and safety compliance. The role focuses on efficient, safe operation and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control, with the ability to coach and develop staff while optimizing production performance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and QC techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the production team, ensuring targets are met.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and procedures.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the team.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with supply chain departments.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions promptly.
