Placements24 is seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Supervisor in Vereeniging to lead a maintenance team and drive reliability across plant equipment. You will implement maintenance strategies, optimize resources, and uphold safety standards in a dynamic industrial setting.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical trade qualification, 7+ years in plant maintenance (3+ in supervision), and strong CMMS expertise to improve uptime and safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical or related engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years in plant maintenance, with at least 3 in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems (CMMS) and best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
