Job summary

Vumilia Africa Group in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate all maintenance activities across the plant to maximise equipment reliability, availability and operational efficiency.

You will plan and oversee preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, manage budgets and spares, drive continuous improvement, mentor artisans and ensure compliance with OHS, environmental and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and plant availability.
• Plan, schedule and oversee preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Lead effective response to equipment breakdowns through root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment is installed, commissioned and operated per standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and oversee preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate repairs and root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns.
• Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage maintenance records, budgets and contractor performance to meet targets.
• Lead artisans, apprentices and maintenance staff development.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of maintenance processes and KPIs.
• Prepare and present maintenance reports and KPI data to management.
