Job summary

Halewood South Africa is seeking a driven graduate to support demand, supply and production planning. You will maintain planning data in SYSPRO, assist with weekly/daily schedules and help generate data packs and reports to improve forecasting and capacity planning.

This internship-oriented role emphasizes analytics, MRP understanding and reporting using Excel/Power BI. Candidates should be organized, numerate and detail-focused, with a completed related degree or diploma.

Qualifications

• Completed degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Commerce.
• Strong aptitude assessment results.
• Unemployed graduate eligible for an internship programme (where linked to SETA / YES funding).
• SYSPRO exposure (advantage).
• Understanding of MRP, forecasting and production scheduling concepts.
• Power BI (advantage).
• Analytical and numerate.
• Organised and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Maintain planning data in SYSPRO: BOMs, lead times, stock levels, open orders and job status.
• Help prepare the weekly and daily production schedule and issue it to Packaging, QC & Processing and Warehousing.
• Track plan attainment, material shortages and schedule changes; report exceptions at the daily huddle.
• Monitor finished-goods stock cover against demand and flag risks.
• Support co-packing coordination and the Head Buyer & Planner with data requests.
• Help build the integrated S&OP process, including data packs, capacity and forecast-accuracy reporting.
• Develop planning dashboards and automate repeat reports in Excel / Power BI.
• Help improve the accuracy of planning master data.
