Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner & Scheduler for our facility in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role focuses on creating optimized production schedules aligned with demand, material availability, and resource capacity.

The position supports a hybrid work model enabling strategic planning and on-site coordination. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of production planning experience within manufacturing, proficiency in SAP APO or Oracle ASCP, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning and scheduling in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with production planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle ASCP, or similar ERP/MRP systems).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for all manufacturing lines.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely material availability and resource allocation.
• Monitor production progress against schedule and address deviations or bottlenecks.
• Optimize production plans to maximize throughput, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.
• Generate reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and forecast accuracy.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to support production demands.
• Participate in S&OP meetings.
• Maintain and update planning system data to ensure accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within planning and scheduling function.
• Communicate production status and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.

Our client, a significant entity within the manufacturing and production industry , is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planner & Scheduler for their facility in Polokwane, Limpopo .
