Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Production Planner & Scheduler for its Sandton facility. The role focuses on creating detailed production schedules, controlling inventory, and coordinating with production, procurement, and sales to meet demand efficiently.

The candidate should have a strong background in planning software, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and excellent analytical and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain/operations management or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent Excel and data analysis abilities.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate production plans and schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure materials availability.
• Manage inventory of WIP and finished goods to optimize stock.
• Communicate schedules to production, sales and logistics.
• Analyze data to forecast demand and improve planning accuracy.
• Participate in S&OP meetings.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in planning.
• Ensure compliance with production planning policies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
