Job summary

Placements24 seeks a meticulous Pipeline Integrity Engineer to safeguard critical pipeline assets in Richards Bay. The role focuses on developing and implementing integrity management programs, assessing risks, and guiding maintenance strategies to minimize leakage and environmental risks.

You will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams across the South African energy transportation network, applying NDT knowledge, material science, and regulatory considerations to ensure safe,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in pipeline engineering with a focus on integrity management.
Knowledge of corrosion, material science, welding, and NDT methods.
Familiarity with pipeline integrity software and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage pipeline integrity management systems (PIMS).
Conduct risk assessments, failure analyses, and fitness-for-service evaluations for pipelines.
Plan and oversee inline inspection (ILI) activities and analyze inspection data.
Recommend maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation strategies for pipeline assets.
Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
