Job summary

Wellness Warehouse in Parow, South Africa is seeking a Warehouse Picker to perform precise picking, packing, and stock handling according to handheld device instructions. You will ensure FIFO and verify stock accuracy while maintaining high attention to detail.

You will receive stock from the main DC, assist in stock management, perform expiry checks, and use a Warehouse Management System with RF scanners. Shifts may include weekends as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pick according to handheld instructions and verify with product codes and locations.
• Scan locations and product codes to ensure correct items are picked.
• Maintain FIFO, check stock for expiry or damage, and prevent mis-picks.
• Receive stock from main DC, stores and suppliers; assist in stock management and counts.

· Use the correct Pcart (reference number)

· Stick the Pcart (reference number) on the box after scanning it

· Pick according to instructions on the handheld device managed by the warehouse management system

· Scan the location to ensure correct location is being picked out

· Scan the product code to ensure correct product is picked

· Always ensure correct amount, as indicated by the handheld device, is picked

· Always ensure FIFO principles are practiced (first in first out)

· Always ensure no damaged or expired stock is picked

· Ensure a new Pcart reference number is used when picking a new SO or TO

· Once SO or TO is picked ensure box is scanned into Staging and physically placed at the packing table

· Ensure one reference is used per SO or TO picked

o Receive stock from the Main DC, Stores and from suppliers that deliver directly to the Ecommerce DC

o Assist in Stock Management Process – Expiry checks and Stock counts

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
  
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, retail, logistics or stock environment
  
• Experience with picking, packing, stock handling or order fulfilment
  
• Basic computer literacy
  
• Ability to use a handheld scanner or learn a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  
• Ability to read and follow picking instructions accurately
  
• Good numerical and counting ability
  
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Ability to work with product codes, quantities and location references
  
• Ability to understand and apply FIFO principles
  
• Ability to identify damaged, expired or incorrect stock
  
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet daily picking targets
  
• Ability to work shifts, weekends or public holidays where required by the operation
  
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend and lift stock for extended periods
