Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst in Rustenburg to ensure the quality and safety of products. You will perform analytical testing on materials and finished products, calibrate instruments, and generate COAs in a hybrid work setting.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy, 3+ years in a QC laboratory, and experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR, and dissolution apparatus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and dissolution apparatus.
• Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical quality systems and regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, ICH).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
• Calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Review and interpret analytical data, document all testing activities accurately, and generate certificates of analysis.
• Investigate deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and out-of-trend (OOT) results and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
