Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join our laboratory team in Kimberley. You will perform a variety of chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in accordance with established specifications and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of QC laboratory experience in pharma.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using laboratory techniques.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards for testing.
• Document results and calculations in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and consistency of our pharmaceutical products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will perform a variety of chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established specifications and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in analytical chemistry and a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards in a GMP-compliant environment. This position offers a hands-on laboratory experience and the chance to contribute to product safety and efficacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy).
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards required for analytical testing.
• Accurately document all testing results, observations, and calculations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Review and verify test data, identify any out-of-specification results, and participate in investigations.
• Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), laboratory safety protocols, and company SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC , GC, titration, and spectrophotometry.
• Knowledge of GMP guidelines and quality control principles.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory setting.
