About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmaceutical Production Manager to oversee operations at their facility in Klerksdorp, North West . This critical role involves managing all aspects of pharmaceutical production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with stringent regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to optimize production workflows. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily production activities, ensuring that production targets are met on time and within budget.
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor production plans and schedules.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring efficient supply chain management.
• Lead, train, and mentor the production team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Investigate production deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Engineering departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives within the production department at our Klerksdorp facility.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African pharmaceutical regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record in managing production teams and achieving production targets.
• Strong understanding of process validation, equipment qualification, and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
