About the Role

Our client, a prominent pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Pharmaceutical Production Manager to oversee and optimize their production operations in Klerksdorp . This leadership role is critical to ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing of high-quality pharmaceutical products. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of pharmaceutical production operations to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of products.
• Develop, implement, and monitor production plans and schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the production process.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment, ensuring operational readiness and compliance.
• Manage production budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on production performance to senior management.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and product quality.
• Investigate production deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and ensure robust batch record review.
• Champion a culture of safety and quality throughout the production facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical production processes.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage complex operational challenges.
