Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Formulations Chemist in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, to join our client's R&D team. You will design, develop, and optimize dosage forms (tablets, capsules, suspensions) and assess stability and bioavailability.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or closely related field with 4+ years of formulation experience and hands-on analytical skills (HPLC, dissolution).

Qualifikationen

• Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or closely related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Hands-on experience with multiple dosage forms and techniques.
• Legally eligible to work in South Africa.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and optimize formulations for tablets, capsules, suspensions, and creams.
• Perform pre-formulation studies to characterize substances and excipients.
• Assess stability, dissolution, and bioavailability of formulations.
• Utilize lab equipment for formulation development and characterization.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for materials and products.
• Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues and document findings.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations; collaborate with analytics, process, and regulatory teams.
• Stay current with pharmaceutics and drug delivery advancements.
