Placements24 seeks an innovative Formulation Scientist to join its R&D team in Mossel Bay. The hybrid role combines hands-on laboratory work with remote collaboration to develop stable, manufacturable dosage forms for pharmaceutical products.

You will design formulations, perform pre-formulation studies, optimize drug delivery systems, and prepare development reports for regulatory submissions, collaborating with analytical development, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs teams.

Qualifications

• MSc or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Hands-on experience with formulation techniques and characterisation of dosage forms (tablets, capsules, injectables).
• Proficiency in analytical methods relevant to drug product characterisation.
• Experience with GxP environments and regulatory requirements is essential.
