Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Manager to oversee Upington operations, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management, with a significant portion within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements impacting pharmaceutical supply chains (e.g., GDP - Good Distribution Practices).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the end-to-end pharmaceutical supply chain, from sourcing to delivery.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs and waste.
• Oversee logistics and transportation, ensuring timely and secure delivery of pharmaceutical products, often under specific temperature controls.
• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical regulations , including those related to storage, transportation, and distribution.
