Placements24 is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize supply chain operations from its Mahikeng location. You will lead inventory management, logistics, and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of medicines while maintaining quality and compliance.

The role requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and leadership to drive efficiency and cost reduction across the supply chain in the pharmaceutical sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
• At least 3 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, and global sourcing.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain regulations (GDP).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring adequate supply while minimizing holding costs.
• Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers.
• Implement and manage supply chain technologies and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and improve forecasting.
• Ensure all supply chain activities comply with GDP and other pharmaceutical regulations.
