Job summary

Placements24 in Klerksdorp is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Analyst to join our pharmaceutical client’s team. The role focuses on analytical testing of raw materials and finished products, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance in a GMP/GDP environment.

You will perform HPLC, GC, UV-Vis and other analyses, document results accurately, support method validation, and assist during internal audits and regulator inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years as a QC Analyst in pharmaceutical industry, focused on raw material testing.
• Strong experience with analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, IR spectroscopy) and wet chemistry methods.
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP and pharmacopeial standards (USP/EP/BP).

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests on incoming raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Document testing procedures and results in accordance with GLP and GMP.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in root-cause investigations.
• Review and approve analytical data for raw materials and components.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory and assist in internal audits and regulator inspections.
