Job summary

Takealot Group is seeking a People Practitioner in Cape Town to partner with line managers on HR functions, coach staff, and support payroll and onboarding. The role focuses on performance, recruitment, benefits, and policy compliance within a dynamic e-commerce environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years HR generalist experience, strong communication skills, and a readiness to drive HR projects in a fast-paced growth company.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR partnering capacity in a changing environment.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good problem solving and decision making skills.
• Good working knowledge of current legislation and HR policies.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Proven PC literacy and HRIS experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner, coach and support employees on HR functions including performance management, recruitment, and benefits.
• Implement HR strategy and policies in the business.
• Lead HR projects to enhance customer experience.
• Support Hiring managers with organisational design and talent acquisition.
• Provide HR management information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate payroll submissions and ensure timely remuneration.
