Network Finance is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing and leading a payroll team. The ideal candidate will have extensive SA payroll knowledge, experience with Sage VIP or Sage 300 People, and a proven track record in SARS submissions and compliance.

You\'ll collaborate with HR and Finance to maintain accurate records and resolve payroll issues.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in payroll administration, accounting, finance, or HR.
• Minimum 5 years in payroll with at least 2 in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of SA payroll legislation and SARS submissions.

Responsabilités

• Supervise full payroll function for accurate, timely salary payments.
• Oversee multiple payroll cycles across departments/entities.
• Review inputs: overtime, leave, allowances, deductions, bonuses, terminations.
• Ensure SARS compliance: PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201/EMP501.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports and journals.
• Maintain confidential employee records.
• Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee onboarding, terminations, salary adjustments, and changes.
• Ensure compliance with labour, tax laws and company policies.
• Liaise with HR, Finance, auditors and external providers.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly organised, and hands-on Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll operations, ensure accurate and timely salary processing, and lead a payroll team. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of South African payroll legislation and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the full payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments.
• Oversee monthly, weekly, and other payroll cycles across multiple departments, entities, or employee categories.
• Review and verify payroll inputs, including overtime, leave, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with SARS requirements, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201 and EMP501 submissions.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, payroll reports, and the preparation of payroll-related journals.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure employee information is kept confidential.
• Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently and professionally.
• Oversee employee onboarding, terminations, salary adjustments, and other payroll changes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Liaise with HR, Finance, auditors, and external service providers regarding payroll matters.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Payroll Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong working knowledge of South African payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Proven experience with PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201, EMP501, and SARS payroll-related submissions.
• Experience working with payroll systems such as Sage VIP, Sage 300 People, or similar platforms.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to prepare and interpret payroll reports.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High levels of accuracy, integrity, discretion, and accountability.
