Job summary

Frogg Recruitment seeks a skilled Payroll/HR Officer in Cape Town to manage high‑volume payrolls and HR admin across the employee lifecycle. The role requires accuracy in processing weekly, monthly and ad hoc payrolls for about 1,250 staff.

You will handle new engagements, terminations, payroll adjustments, and SARS submissions, while maintaining HR records and compliance with BCEA, LRA, and POPIA requirements.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 essential.
• National Diploma or Degree in Payroll Administration, HR, Finance or related field.
• Sage Payroll certification highly advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience with large payrolls (1250 employees).
• Experience with Sage 300 People, Sage VIP Premier.
• Previous HR administration experience essential.
• Experience with SARS e@syFile, eFiling, uFiling and COIDA submissions.
• Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, Income Tax Act, and POPIA.

Responsibilities

• Payroll administration – process end-to-end payrolls weekly, fortnightly, and/or monthly for 1250 staff.
• Capture new engagements, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments and personal detail changes.
• Process leave, overtime, allowances, deductions, garnishee orders, loans and third‑party payments.
• Reconcile payroll pre- and post-run; ensure accurate net pay, deductions and GL postings.
• Prepare and submit EMP201 monthly and EMP501 bi-annual reconciliations via SARS e@syFile/eFiling.
• Manage UIF declarations (uFiling) and COIDA submissions; administer HR records in Sage/filing systems.
