Job summary

Pepkor Payments and Lending (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Officer to join the People Support Department. The role focuses on processing payroll accurately and timely, and providing comprehensive payroll and benefits administration support to the department and business.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant payroll/HR qualification with about 3 years’ experience on Sage 300 People, handling hourly and salaried payroll, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Payroll / HR.
• Approximately 3 years' payroll system experience, preferably Sage 300 People.
• Experience processing hourly and salaried payroll.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate monthly payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff.
• Administer payroll, benefits and leave systems timely.
• Process earnings and deductions to meet monthly due dates.
• Load new employees and update changes in Sage 300 People.
• Prepare statutory submissions and payroll reconciliations.
• Liaise with staff on payroll and benefits related queries.
