iqbusiness South Africa is seeking an experienced Project Manager for contracting opportunities in Gauteng. The role focuses on delivering card and payments projects within banking/financial services, driving initiatives from initiation to implementation, and coordinating across business, technology and vendor stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management, banking experience, and strong risk and dependency management.

Qualifications

5+ years Project Management experience required.
Banking/financial services experience required.
Card payments, merchant acquiring, payment acceptance or contactless payments experience preferred.
Experience delivering technology and business change initiatives.
Strong stakeholder, risk and dependency management skills.
Experience in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Responsabilités

Manage projects from initiation through execution and close-out.
Engage with business stakeholders, delivery teams and sponsors throughout the lifecycle.
Define objectives, delivery approaches and success measures.
Maintain project plans, schedules, timelines and dependencies.
Coordinate activities across business and technology teams to ensure successful delivery.
Monitor and manage risks, issues and dependencies; escalate as needed.
Track progress and provide status updates to stakeholders.
Facilitate governance forums, meetings and workshops.
Support budget tracking, resource planning and reporting.
Ensure documentation, handover and lessons learned at closure.
