Job summary

Indsafri is seeking a Business Analyst (Payments) to gather, analyse, and document requirements for payment products and platforms. The role bridges business and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet objectives and regulatory standards.

You will translate needs into functional specs, process flows, and user stories, validate requirements with stakeholders, and support testing and UAT across payment systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–6 years experience in business analysis with strong exposure to payment systems and platforms.
• Experience with digital banking, fintech, or financial services environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in technology delivery.
• Experience creating functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
• Experience with Mainframe platforms, Hogan-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document requirements for payment products and platforms.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
• Validate and prioritise requirements with business stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams for payment-related initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate requirements and solution options.
• Ensure alignment on project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure payment solutions are implemented correctly.
• Support testing, validation, and user acceptance processes for payment systems.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, processes, and decisions for payment initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance, risk, and regulatory standards.
• Track requirement changes and manage version control.
