Job summary

First Distribution in Johannesburg seeks a Huawei Network Presales Engineer to act as the technical authority for Huawei networking solutions within the distribution channel. You will enable partners through expert pre-sales guidance, solution design, and technical mentorship to ensure successful positioning and deployment of Huawei networking solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of Huawei Datacom, campus, data center, WLAN, and network security, plus HCIP Telecommunications

Qualifications

• Must have HCIP Telecommunications or related field.
• 2+ years in pre-sales or enterprise networking.
• Experience in Channel/Distribution model or SI preferred.
• Experience with Huawei migration projects a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver partner enablement and training on Huawei Datacom products.
• Create solution playbooks and topology templates.
• Manage lab and demo environments for partners.
• Design network architectures and BOMs for proposals.
• Lead POC design and execution with partners.
• Provide high-level troubleshooting during pre-sales.
• Contribute to RFP/RFQ responses.
• Liaise with Huawei Networking team and monitor roadmaps.
• Gather market intel on competitive threats and pricing.
