Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a dedicated Paraplanner to support wealth planning activities in Randburg. You will assist the Wealth Manager in client meetings, prepare compliant reports, and develop tailored financial solutions with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a relevant Bachelor's degree, Paraplanning experience, and strong knowledge of financial products. Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, and CRM tools is essential to deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
  • RE qualifications advantageous.
  • Paraplanning experience, preferably senior level.
  • Strong client-facing experience in wealth management or financial planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial products and planning principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Strong regulatory and compliance understanding in financial services.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Attend client and partner meetings with Wealth Manager to support planning discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare compliant suitability reports, financial plans and investment proposals.
  • Conduct research to develop tailored financial planning solutions.
  • Review existing financial structures and recommend strategies.
  • Ensure advice and documentation comply with FSCA and internal governance.
  • Manage prospect leads and maintain client information in CRM.
  • Process new business applications and related transactions.
  • Prepare onboarding docs, including due diligence and records of advice.
  • Obtain and verify FICA and FAIS documentation.
  • Coordinate investment account openings and offshore administration.
  • Upload and distribute documentation via electronic signing platforms.
  • Respond to client queries promptly with high service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend client and partner meetings alongside the Wealth Manager to support financial planning discussions and the fact-finding process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional partners, providing technical support and guidance.
  • Prepare compliant suitability reports, financial plans, and investment proposals.
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis to develop tailored financial planning solutions.
  • Review existing financial structures and recommend appropriate strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Ensure all advice and documentation complies with regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Manage prospect leads and maintain accurate client information within the CRM system.
  • Process new business applications, investment switches, withdrawals, additional investments, and related transactions.
  • Prepare onboarding documentation, including due diligence reports, mandates, records of advice, and supporting documentation.
  • Obtain and verify FICA and FAIS documentation for new and existing clients.
  • Monitor outstanding requirements and follow up on transactions to ensure timely completion.
  • Action payment instructions and maintain agreed service level timelines.
  • Prepare investment review documentation, client statements, and tax certificates.
  • Coordinate investment account openings and assist with offshore investment administration, including foreign exchange transactions.
  • Upload and distribute documentation through electronic signing platforms.
  • Respond to client queries promptly while maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Ensure all activities comply with FSCA regulations and internal governance requirements.
Job Experience and Skills Required
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree.
  • RE qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in a Paraplanning role, preferably at a senior level.
  • Strong client-facing experience within a wealth management or financial planning environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial products, investments, and financial planning principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within financial services.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
