Join Our Team as a Paralegal Assistant (Fixed term contract 12 months) at KFC Rohloff Group! Are you passionate about accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail in every aspect of legal administration? We’re looking for a Paralegal Assistant to join our dynamic Leadership Team at KFC Rohloff Group. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving our franchise group’s growth and success by providing expert legal support within a law firm and/or in-house legal environment, working under the supervision of an attorney and leveraging solid knowledge of South African legal procedures and legislation. This position offers exposure to diverse legal matters, including (but not limited to): Litigation and administrative support, Contract management and governance processes, responding to legal queries and supporting strategic projects.

Legal Administration & Document Management

Skilled in organizing, maintaining, and processing legal documentation accurately, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.

Case Management & Deadline Coordination

Experienced in managing multiple cases, tracking progress, and meeting strict deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Legal Drafting & Research

Proficient in preparing clear, legally sound documents and conducting thorough research to support attorney decision-making.

Stakeholder Liaison

Strong communication and relationship-building skills for effective interaction with clients, courts, and internal team.

What You\'ll Bring To The Table
  • Strong drafting, organizational, and administrative skills with proven ability to produce accurate legal documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, prioritize multiple tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Agile and adaptable, with a quick learning ability and responsiveness to changing priorities.
  • Excellent critical thinking and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all tasks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive legal matters.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with legal management systems.
  • Paralegal certification or diploma from an accredited South African institution.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a practicing paralegal in a South African law firm and/or in-house legal environment under attorney supervision.
  • Working knowledge of South African civil procedure and court rules.
  • Understanding of legislative frameworks applicable to commercial and operational matters in consumer-focused sectors (QSR, retail, property) – advantageous.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, pleadings, and general correspondence.
