Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in Katlehong, South Africa, is seeking a Panel Saw Operator for internal applications only. You will ensure all customer estimations are cut to required timelines, follow specifications and maintain quality, while preventing machinery breakdowns.

The role requires Grade 12 or equivalent, and advantage for carpentry and cutting-edging machinery experience. You must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and stay composed under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous
• 1 year experience working with cutting and edging machinery would be advantageous
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide reliable, prompt service and advise customers on products.
• Housekeeping: Keep area free of obstacles and merchandise stock after receipt.
• Safety (OHSA): Comply with safety gear usage and machinery safety standards.
• Loss Prevention: Be vigilant for suspicious behaviour and verify documentation before loading or cutting products.
• Cutting and Edging: Minimise wastage by accurate calibration and reading of cutting lists; perform daily machinery maintenance.
