Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification paediatric experience.
• Experience with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of paediatric assessment tools and intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments for children, identifying strengths and development areas.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-perceptual, self-care and play skills.
• Provide direct therapy sessions to children, individually and in groups.
• Educate and train parents/caregivers on strategies to support development at home and in the community.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including paediatricians, physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators.
