Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for a remote contract role in Durban and KwaZulu-Natal. The therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat developmental, perceptual, sensory processing, and motor issues in infants to adolescents, delivering sessions from a home office.

The role requires a Master's in OT, HPCSA registration, at least 3 years of pediatric experience, and telehealth proficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current HPCSA registration or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for developmental needs.
• Provide direct therapy through secure video conferencing platforms.
• Educate parents/caregivers on techniques and home exercises.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document sessions, assessments and progress notes accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators and therapists involved in a child's care.
• Stay updated with pediatric OT advancements and remote service delivery.
