Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA is seeking a qualified Pediatric Occupational Therapist to support children with developmental delays and sensory processing needs. The role blends on-site therapy with remote documentation and case management.

You will assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence in daily living and participation in everyday activities.

Qualifications

• Registered with HPCSA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years pediatric OT experience.
• Experience with sensory integration, fine motor, gross motor.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and empathy.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for children of all ages.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy including fine motor, sensory integration, self-care and adaptive equipment training.
• Educate parents/guardians on home techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators and families.
• Maintain documentation of progress, plans and notes.
• Stay current with pediatric OT advances.
• Adapt to hybrid on-site and remote work.
• Contribute to new programs and approaches.
• Advocate for needs of children and families.
